Senior M&A Underwriter (German focus)

 

Help us grow our German M&A offering.

We are looking for a German M&A professional looking for a new challenge in their career. You will be one of the first to shape Transact’s dedicated German M&A insurance offering.


POSITION:

M&A Senior Underwriter (four to eight years of experience), full-time. The role is based in Amsterdam, with the possibility of repatriating to Germany after two to three years.

Underwriter level will also be considered (two to five years of experience).

You will help set up Transact’s German M&A offering. Leveraging from the work, clients and reputation Transact already has in the German M&A market. Don’t worry, you’re not starting from scratch.


CANDIDATE:

We are looking for a lawyer or M&A professional wanting to make the move to a more commercial and entrepreneurial environment. Some of the required skills are:

  • Up to eight years of relevant working experience, preferably at an international law firm, Big 4, or similar in Germany.

  • Proficient in drafting legal and commercial documents, with the ability to negotiate with commercially and legally sophisticated advisors and clients. No previous insurance or underwriting experience is required.

  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent command of both German and English.

  • Enthusiastic and committed team player who can challenge other team members and work collaboratively in a highly focussed and skilled work environment.
